Community, Education, and Paddling: The First Whitewater Symposium in

The first ever Whitewater Symposium in New England, The Nor'Easter event put on by Outdoor New England, NRS, and Jackson Kayak brought together paddlers from all over the country to learn, paddle, and connect. 

We welcomed Dane Jackson to our small city, Franklin, NH for the first time ever to surf on the one and only whitewater park in New England. Pros like Mason Hargrove, Cashion Porter-Shirley, Elaine Campbell, Ann Gillard, and more. 

We had lectures on body mechanics and injury prevention, outfitting your boat, packing for trips, paddle and boat design with Dane, and paddling with the pros. We had paddlesports trivia, an easter egg hunt, games, happy hours, and exclusive film viewing. 

The weekend was a culmination of a lot of hard work, passionate individuals, and community leaders to bring together paddlers and strengthen the bonds of the sport we all love.
