OUTDOOR NEW ENGLAND
Marty Parichand, the visionary founder and owner, sought not only to establish a retail presence in Downtown Franklin, NH but also to position it as a hub for outdoor recreation, inspiring individuals to embrace the outdoors. Drawing inspiration from the transformative impact of white water activities on Salida, CO, Marty aspired to replicate that energy, community, and revitalization in Franklin. Recognizing the potential to breathe life into the city's historic structures and businesses, he envisioned Outdoor New England (ONE) as a catalyst for urban renewal.

COOL FRANKLIN HISTORY!
Outdoor New England's home is one of many historic brick buildings in Franklin. This particular building is called Buell Block which was built in 1878 and named after George E. Buell who was a prominent businessman. This building was the office space for a variety of businesses in the downtown. It now offers apartment spaces above the The Franklin Cafe, Outdoor New England and Vular Brewing.
FRANKLINS WHITE WATER
A cool tidbit about the river we raft and kayak down...This section of the Winnipesaukee River used to house 5 mills along the river, using it mainly for textiles. Now there are just remnants left alongside the river which makes for a very unique rafting/kayaking experience. This section is also home to the last upside-down bridge in New England and New England's first White-Water Park! Anyone who is not a kayaker can still see its beauty while walking along the Winnipesaukee River Trail that runs parallel to the river.
